The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD NIGERIA) as part of its strategies towards the attainment of its vision and objectives, proposes to undertake the procurement of goods, works and services in the FY-2016.
The outgoing National coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of NEPAD Nigeria, Amb. Fidelia Njeze stated this today during the handover in NEPAD Nigeria office, Abuja. She handed over to the most senior director Mrs. Augusta Ume the Director, African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in a ceremony which was attended by top management staff of NEPAD.
NEPAD Agency Chief Executive Officer Dr Ibrahim Mayaki has been appointed as a new board member of the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM). He officially attended his first meeting during the 35th Board meeting held in Maastricht, Netherlands last week. Dr Mayaki who is also former Prime Minister of Niger will serve as a Member of the Board and Member of the Board Programme Committee.
Former Niger prime minister Ibrahim Assane Mayaki has dedicated his career to improving the lives of fellow Africans. Today, as CEO of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), a South Africa-based body of the African Union, Mayaki is advocating for a radical change in the way the continent farms in order to minimize the environmental impact on the land while yielding better harvests: climate-smart agriculture.
“The Africa Climate-Smart Agriculture Alliance is the first such continental platform following the 2014 Malabo Declaration for mainstreaming climate change in agriculture,” said Mrs Estherine Fotabong, NEPAD Programmes Director, at the first Africa CSA Alliance Forum that took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on May 13.
