The NC/CEO Hon. (Princess) Akobundu at 2016 Budget Performance Meeting with members of House of Representatives' Committe on Cooperation and Integration in Africa/NEPAD at the National Assembly.

Lawmaker representing Onitsha North/South Federal Constituency and member of the House Committee  on Cooperation and Integration in Africa/NEPAD, Hon. Linda Ikpeazu has described the new National Coordinator and  CEO,NEPAD Nigeria, Princess Gloria Akobundu as completely prepared for the job she has come to do at the Agency.

Making the above observation ,Thursday, at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, during the 2016 Budget Performance Report and Analysis held at the House of Representatives' Wing of the Complex, the ranking lawmaker promised to offer the NEPAD Nigeria CEO all the support she needed from  the Committee to succeed .

Earlier, while presenting the 2016 Budget Performance Report to the House Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa/NEPAD, Princess Akobundu had intimated the Committee that, in spite of having taken over at the Agency about two months ago, she had received commitments on cooperations, collaborations and partnerships with various bodies and institutions, including Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government ,to deliver the many programmes and projects, which she had initiated as part of the mandate of NEPAD.

The NEPAD Nigeria CEO, who pointed out that the Agency was getting repositioned for better performance through her New Approach in the 4-R Agenda, said it would no longer be business as usual for any workers to sit and idle away their time at the Agency if the Committee offered her the requisite support and collaboration ,especially in the area of improved budgetary allocation, upon which she wished to be open to the Committee's constant evaluation .

All the members of the Committee present at the meeting, including the Chairman of the Committee, Hon.Dr. Kingsley Ebenyi , had in separate remarks lauded the activities of the new NEPAD Nigeria CEO, stressing that her very first moves had demonstrated a willingness to justify her appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari ,while also assuring her that their doors remained open to her for any requests that would make her realise the mandate of her job.

All the budgetary allocations for NEPAD Nigeria in the year 2016,according to the report, had seen releases of between 43 and 62% respectively.
