The National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer (NC/CEO), NEPAD Nigeria, Princess Gloria Akobundu, has stated that 5% government releases have been dedicated to staff training.
Princess Gloria Akobundu, stated this while addressing the staff of NEPAD Nigeria at this year’s workers day celebration.
She said that the training will be in accordance with schedule of duties of staff in their various departments and units adding that the department of Administration will soon communicate the training programmes to the staff.
Princess Akobundu, commending the staff for their dedication and commitment to duty, asserted that no government can survive without the support of its staff.
The NC/CEO, reiterated that workers are the engine room of any Government, therefore, should always be recognised and appreciated.
Gloria Akobundu, urged the labour unions to work in collaboration with the government in order to achieve the Nigeria of our dream.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman, Association Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Comrade Joel Umoru and the Chairman of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Service Employees (AUPCTRE), Mr Aliyu Abubakar, commended the NC/CEO for attending this year’s workers day celebration noting that she is the first Chief Executive Officer of NEPAD Nigeria to have recognised the staff on this occasion.
